I AM INVISIBLE BULLYING AND SUICIDE

Here at I AM INVISIBLE BULLYING & SUICIDE, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2018, we have been determined to make an impact. Our goal is that our youth and young adults will understand that everyone is "SOMEBODY" regardless of their race, gender, ethnicity, or beliefs; they have a platform for their  "Voice" at I AM INVISIBLE BULLYING AND SUICIDE.

I AM INVISIBLE BULLYING AND SUICIDE will provide the place and space for personal growth, self-reflection, learning, and bonding.  The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the activities we are involved in.

According to research:

Bullying and depression are often related. Depression affects both bullies and their victims. Victims of cyberbullying may be at even higher risk for depression. Learn about bullying and depression and how you can help stop bullying.

Depression can have several serious effects on a person’s life. The link between bullying and depression can also extend to other problems, like:

  • Low self-esteem

  • Anxiety

  • High rates of school absence

  • Physical illness

Teens who commit suicide often suffer from depression. Experts hesitate to say that bullying is a direct cause of suicide, but it may be a factor in a teen’s depression.

I'm Invisible Short-Film

I AM  INVISIBLE Bullying & Suicide Short-Film was featured at the SEAS Awards in 2016 in Tunica, MS.  The film was co-written by Executive Director Sharon Kaye Edwards and Professor Seymour Hagans of Lane College, Jackson, Tennessee.  The film has been used in the school system as a training and teaching tool for the teaching staff and the transportation department.

I am very proud of the many organizations working diligently every day to better our community. Today, members of the I'm Invisible Bullying & Suicide non-profit organization sat down with me to not only discuss their bullying and suicide prevention organization but to also talk about ways we can implement proven counteractive strategies within our City, that effectively combat this epidemic that is increasingly claiming the lives of so many.
